The PLEASE Jersey Tunic with Lace Slip Hem – Cream is a one-piece tunic, not a two-piece set: the viscose slip is stitched permanently to the hem of the jersey top, so it goes on in a single pull and cannot separate or ride up between the layers. It skims the body rather than clinging.
The top section is soft stretch cotton jersey with elbow-length sleeves and a plain round neck, in 95% cotton with 5% elastane. Below the joining seam at the hip, the sewn-in slip is 100% viscose with a fluid satin finish, cut on an asymmetric diagonal and trimmed with fine lace. Measured from the shoulder it runs 83 cm at the short side and 107 cm at the long point, so the hem sweeps from well above the knee down to just below it. That contrast between matte jersey and fluid viscose is what makes it read as styled rather than basic.
Cream keeps the whole piece light and works through the year – with tan sandals and a straw bag in summer, with a camel coat and boots later on. A denim jacket over the top covers the in-between weather.
