The PLEASE Barrel-Leg Cropped Trousers – Black are cut with a high rise and a rounded barrel leg that curves away from the thigh and tapers back in at the hem. The shape carries the whole piece, so they read as considered rather than as a plain black trouser.
Front pleats release the volume from a clean waistband with belt loops, and a pressed crease runs down each leg to hold the curve. Side pockets sit flush against the hip. The 100% cotton has enough body to keep the barrel shape standing away from the leg instead of collapsing against it.
Cropped at mid-calf, so they sit well above the ankle and suit a flat loafer, a mule or a low boot. Black keeps the volume quiet – wear them with a crisp white shirt tucked in for work, or with a fine knit and trainers at the weekend.

These are the garment measurements, taken by hand on the exact pieces we hold – not a generic brand chart. Waist is the finished waistband all the way round: pick the size closest to your own waist, and note the cotton has no stretch, so it will not give. The steps between sizes are wide here (74, 80, 84 cm), so if you fall between two, size up and take the waist in with a belt through the loops. Leg opening is the full circumference at the hem. Side length runs from the top of the waistband to the hem – these are cropped and sit at mid-calf, well above the ankle.
